Agnes Watson Trust
Agnes Watson, who died in the 1930’s, was a highly respected Headmistress of Temple Sowerby School. She had a great love for the school and the village.
When she died, she left a sum of money to help the school. Each year, the money makes interest, and it is the interest which helps us. Recently we have used it to buy equipment for the new classroom, library books, maths and computer equipment, chime bars for music and storage and construction equipment.
Each year, the Year 6 leavers are helped by a sum of money drawn from the interest. It assists them in obtaining some of the things they require for their new school.
A small body of local people administer the Trust and meet each year to discuss the needs of the school.
