Welcome to Temple Sowerby CE Primary School

I am delighted to welcome you to the website of Temple Sowerby CE Primary School. We are a welcoming, friendly and thriving Church of England primary school, located in a beautiful rural village setting in the heart of the Eden Valley catering for children age 3 and upwards.

At Temple Sowerby, we are proud of our school’s caring and inclusive family ethos, where children feel safe and happy. We have high expectations for all our pupils, both in terms of their academic success and their behaviour and manners. Through our school values of responsibility, hope, courage, community, kindness and resilience, we want to equip our children with the attitudes and knowledge which will enable them to flourish in life.

We offer a broad and exciting curriculum that engages our pupils, making the most of our beautiful setting and links to the local area, whilst our wraparound care provision provides a wide range of after-school clubs to appeal to children’s interests.

I hope you find our website useful but if you would like to come into school to find out more, please do call us and we will be happy to give you a tour. We look forward to meeting and working with you.

Headteacher
