Sadly, due to Covid restrictions, opportunities for parents to come into school are currently limited.

At Temple Sowerby CE Primary School, there is a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and we encourage parents to play an active role in their child’s education. Parents are welcome to come into school with their children in the morning, giving them an opportunity to meet with other parents before school begins. Any parent who wishes to talk to any of the teachers in confidence is welcome to agree a time that is mutually convenient with that teacher.

Open evenings are held twice a year so that you can see your child’s work and discuss their progress with staff. If a parent has a concern or complaint, we will do our best to listen and answer their concerns. If they are not completely satisfied after discussion with the teaching staff, they can then make a formal complaint in writing to the governing body, addressed to the Clerk.

Parents can help the school in a variety of ways. If a parent has a particular skill or interest and has the time to share it with us in school, we welcome their input. Support from parents is also invaluable on school trips and other events.
