Class 1 and Pre-School had a lovely morning dressed up as Princesses and Superheroes! We read a story about Supertato and made our own Superhero potatoes. We made a super smoothie, which was delicious, and we did lots of other activities. We were raising money for Crackerjacks children’s trust. So far we have raised £55. Well done to all involved! ... Our final week of the Autumn Term has been a busy one. We were visited by Santa, had our Christmas party and lunch and have been practising for our nativity 'It's a baby'.

Recently, we have also been carol singing at St Andrew's Church and Croft Avenue Residential Home and we had wreath making workshop. Thanks to Sarah Cox from Flower World for organising this fundraising event.

We have had a very busy couple of weeks! Last week, we went to Center Parcs and the Upfront Gallery.

At Center Parcs, we had a walk around the Winter Wonderland, sang Christmas carols to the guests and finished the day off with a swim and a game of ten pin bowling.

On Thursday, the children really enjoyed watching the Snow Queen puppet show and after the performance they got the opportunity to see how the puppets and the stage worked.

We've something exciting to celebrate 🎉🎈- we’re Cumbria’s top school for reading!
Congratulations to our year 6 pupils who excelled in last year’s SATs tests. Their average score in reading ( 112.8 ) was the highest in Cumbria, with scores for other subjects close behind.
In common with many small schools, our SATs results don’t always appear on the official league tables, but you can see full details of how we did, along with a link to the Cumbria performance tables on our website at:
